Some extremely lush library sounds from Norwegian duo Coastal County here. The
group’s eponymous record is full of meticulous re-renderings of noirish, Italo-style
exploitation jazz. You’d imagine that Dummy-era Portishead would have had a field day
sampling these tunes. The production on Coastal County is particularly juicy and makes
the grooves really pop.
